Eligibility Requirements:

The Candidate must...

a) Have been a contestant in the 2015 Miss Delaware USA or Miss Delaware Teen USA Pageant and placed as a Top Semi-Finalist, Top-5 Finalist or Winner.

b) Meet University admissions requirements.

c) Apply as (and remain continuously enrolled as) a full-time semester, undergraduate residential student in good academic and social standing (Teen specific criteria).

d) Apply as (and remain continuously enrolled as) an online or graduate student in good academic and social standing (Miss specific criteria).

e) Be a new undergraduate resident, freshman or transfer student for the upcoming academic year, not previously contacted by Lindenwood University.

f) Complete a financial aid application or provide necessary information to assess eligibility for federal and/or state grants.  Any additional outside grants and scholarships will first replace the Lindenwood University grant/scholarship. Any additional institutional aid must be approved by the Executive Dean of Enrollment Management.

g) All grants/scholarships are subject to space availability.  Candidates need to apply early.

h) All grants/scholarships awarded by Lindenwood are subject to students meeting the admission requirements set forth by the university and are not transferrable to other Lindenwood University campuses

i) “Miss” scholarships are based on completion of all required credits taken at Lindenwood University.  Transfer credit is accepted, but may impact total grant/scholarship awarded.  “Miss” grants/scholarships do not carry a residential requirement therefore, room and board charges are not included.  “Miss” grants/scholarships are awarded based on full time continuous enrollment and the amount awarded is divided by term and program of choice.

j) Online courses have an additional 10% surcharge.

k) Have a letter generated from the State Director or a State representative to validate participation or placement in the pageant.

Through their generous scholarships, the young women participating in the pageants have the opportunity to pursue and obtain a college education; therefore, strengthening the role of female leaders in our state and country.
