Ashley has always been a big dreamer and a hard worker. Aside from her work ethic, her amazing family inspires her to succeed. She is endlessly thankful for her supportive and encouraging parents, Rick and Faith DiLiberto, and her best friends (her sisters), Mandy and Aria. Her favorite place in the world is Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where she has spent every summer since she was a little girl. Her pick-me-ups include a visit to the beach, a warm cup of coffee, and a nice long run.
Ashley’s passions include volunteering, learning new things, running, dancing, exercising, and traveling. At Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Delaware, she was a member of the National Honor Society and a recipient of the Serviam Award, for outstanding service. She believes in reaching out to others. In high school, Ashley provided over 200 hours of volunteer service. She was captain of the Varsity Winter and Spring Track teams at Ursuline Academy. Her hard work and endless practice paid off when she became the Women’s Division II Delaware State Champion in 100m dash in 2005 and the Long Jump in 2008. When she wasn’t running, she was dancing. She studied dance for over 12 years, including ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, jazz, and hip-hop. She enjoyed it all, from national competitions to ballet classes in New York City.
Ashley’s life changed on November 29, 2009, when she was crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA. She is grateful for the wonderful honor and opportunity to represent Delaware, and will do everything she can to make The First State proud. She wants all girls to know how important it is that they believe in themselves; she wholeheartedly thinks with confidence and ambition, you can reach any goal and chase any dream.
